Our Mission Statement
Acting in Bayview Secondary School’s public interest, Gnosis Actus Reus of Bayview Secondary is committed to:
Bringing together members of Bayview Secondary’s community to enhance open and transparent governance of a student run club and to duplicate and enhance national standards and harmonize school and organizational rules and procedures;
Promoting the understanding of justice and the Rule of Law;
Providing a forum for the exchange of information of mutual interest to law club members;
Participating in Mock Trial competitions locally, provincially, nationally and internationally;
Informing the school and the broader school community about the role and responsibilities of our executive body; and
Sharing the expertise of Gnosis Actus Reus to contribute to the development of effective clubs in the York Region District School Board.

Responsibilities of the President and Vice Presidents:
Creating, communicating, and implementing Gnosis Actus Reus’s vision, mission, and overall direction.
Leading, guiding, directing, and evaluating the work of his/her vice presidents, assistant vice presidents, training coordinator and web master.
Formulating and implementing the strategic plan that guides the direction of their area of responsibility.
Achieving Gnosis Actus Reus’s overall strategic goals and profitability requirements as determined by the strategic plans.
Evaluating the success of the organization.
Maintaining awareness of both the external and internal landscape, opportunities for expansion, industry developments and standards, and so forth.
Performing other responsibilities as assigned by the staff advisor(s) or the president
